1. Data controller
The data controller is Donaldson R F, an independent MQL5 developer based in Pavia, Italy, operating internationally. For any request relating to data protection: info@codemystrategy.com.
2. Data collected and purpose
Only the data strictly necessary to handle an enquiry, provide a quote, and deliver the agreed development work is collected:
- Contact details: name, phone number (WhatsApp), Telegram username, and email address.
- Project details: the trading strategy, rules, or source code you share with us for the purpose of quoting or carrying out the agreed work.
- Delivery details: where relevant, an email address or secure link used to deliver finished code or files.
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures requested by you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), applied here as a matter of good practice regardless of where in the world you are contacting from.
3. Confidentiality of trading strategies
Trading strategies, rules, and source code shared for the purpose of a quote or project are treated as confidential business information and are not shared with, reused for, or resold to any other client under any circumstances. See the Terms of Service for further detail.
4. Data retention
Enquiries that do not result in a service being carried out are kept for a maximum of 12 months and then deleted. Data relating to a service actually performed, including project files necessary for future support, is retained for as long as reasonably needed to support the delivered work, plus the period required under Italian law for accounting and tax purposes (currently up to 10 years, pursuant to Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code, for billing records specifically).
5. Third-party services
This site uses WhatsApp and Telegram as direct contact channels. Messages sent through these apps are governed by the respective privacy policies of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (part of Meta) and Telegram FZ-LLC, which may involve processing of data outside the country you are messaging from.
Where payment is required for a service, processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. Financial details you enter are processed directly by Stripe according to its own privacy policy; the data controller does not receive or store your card or payment details.
The fonts used on this site are hosted directly on the codemystrategy.com server: no request is made to Google or any other external provider for this purpose, so no IP address is shared with third parties as a result.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have rights under the GDPR or equivalent local data protection law to access, correct, or request deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, by writing to info@codemystrategy.com. If you are located in the European Union, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority, or with the Italian Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
